Elevate Church began in 2006 as a seed in the hearts of Kalyn and Lori Brassfield.  At that time, their family was living in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  They always knew that church planting would be a part of their ministry.  In January of 2007 they attended a Church Planting conference in Texas, where they heard about Wylie for the very first time.  Although they had planned to plant a church in Oklahoma, God kept pointing them back to the Wylie area.  Confirmation came when they sold their home in OKC in 8 days.  In November of 2007, the Brassfields moved to Wylie and began gathering a core group of people to help launch Elevate Church. Soon God would grow the staff with a Worship Pastor and Kids Pastor.  Eight families from their sister church in Garland decided to join the launch team as well.  On March 2, 2008, Elevate Church launched their Sunday worship experiences, including their kids ministry called Elevate Kids.  It was an amazing launch with 178 in attendance from all over Texas and Oklahoma. Elevate Church is a church with a huge heart and bold vision to share Christ by serving their community.
